Grandma and Grandpa Smith had been begging us since Andrew was born to come visit them at their lakehouse; this has been their home since their house is on the market and is staged. We were nervous about traveling with Andrew overnight, but agreed it could be fun and packed up and drove to Lake Buchanan. First thing we realized - packing for a one-night trip with a baby is insane! I thought I was an overpacker before, but we seriously brought a TON of stuff with us for this less-than-24-hour getaway. The stroller, carseat, Pack'n'Play, pump, diaper bag(s), multiple outfits, burp cloths, and half a case of diapers - our car was filled!
Overall, it was a great trip - Andrew got to see the lake (or got to sleep in close proximity to the lake, since I don't think he knew or cared about anything on his walk), he met some family friends, Grandma and Grandpa got some Andrew time, and Mommy and Daddy got some much needed sleep!

That little family picture is great! Definitely one to frame! Your mom looks like she is living the dream holding a little baby again!
