Before he was here, I had great intentions of documenting all of the important moments/milestones from Andrew's first days on a blog. Unfortunately, newborns aren't the most understanding when it comes to your intentions or schedules. So here we are, six weeks into his life and so much has already changed. He is so much more alert and awake the past week, and I believe we are close to getting a social smile. For those that aren't up on all the baby terminology, a social smile is an intentional smile in response to something or someone, as opposed to the spontaneous smile, which is just a reflex that is present from birth. He seems so close sometimes, especially during diaper changes (his favorite time!). He will look at you and open his mouth wide like he is trying to smile, but he just can't seem to figure out how to make his mouth move that way. Jonathan commented that he looks like he is smiling with his eyes, and I think that is a perfect way to describe it. Unfortunately we have been unable to get a picture of this, so check back in the future for some adorable smiling baby pictures!
Until then, here are some pictures from Andrew's first six weeks!

Milk drunk is so cute! I also love that Tucker picture. What a good big brother Tuck is!
