Weekend at Gabby and Papaw's

One of the joys of having the summer off is the (relative) ease with which we can take short weekend trips. During school the weekends are packed with laundry, grocery shopping, and household tasks. Now that I'm off during the week, I can tackle the laundry and grocery shopping (haha about the household tasks!), which allows us to go visit Gabby and Papaw on the weekend! The boys love going to their house - there's a shady backyard, swings, a boat, a golf cart, cats, and many fun and breakable trinkets toys throughout their house. And of course Gabby and Papaw to give the boys tons of love and attention! This was an exciting trip of firsts for us - Ben's first time on the boat, and the boys first time to room together! Both things went well, and we all had a great time! (Except maybe Gabby, who was woken up by both boys prior to 7 am both days!) I guess all the fun wore everyone out, because Andrew is still sleeping at 8:45 this morning (which is unheard of from him), and Ben is already back down for a nap!

As usual, this post is going to be a giant picture dump! (You know you'd rather see those than have me just write about it!) Gabby and Papaw's house seems to be such a lovely backdrop that we get tons of amazing pictures. We also wanted to fully document all the lake fun that we had!
Enjoying the view on Inks Lake...

Our sweet boy in his RED life vest that he helped pick out!

Ben didn't hate the life jacket nearly as much as we thought he would

We lucked out - the clouds kept it cool, and the weather kept the crowds away.

The favorite snack - goldfish!

Daddy and Andrew!

Inks Lake has a lot of shoreline that you can park your boat. It wasn't really like a beach (it was grassy and rocky), but the boys could get out and play, and it was perfect for playing and eating lunch!

The water was COLD!

Ben wanted in, too!

What a perfect Benny face! He gets these wild crazy faces and shouts when he's getting into something!

Andrew found a big stick, which of course he pretended was a gun. Where did my innocent baby go?!

Playing in the water, reminds me of this picture...

... of Andrew!

Found a neat shell!

So fun!

He's now out of the "don't take my picture" phase. Now he's into - take my picture and then show it to me!

Gabby and Andrew

Ben read chewed on some books this weekend.

Andrew and Ben enjoyed when Andrew pushed him on swing!

Love my sweet Andrew
