We started off the break by celebrating Daddy's birthday - the big 29! Both sets of grandparents were here to help us celebrate, and Andrew enjoyed all the attention. The next few days we spent at home - we relaxed, went for walks, and even went shopping with Grandma Smith to prepare for Andrew's birthday party. We also went to visit Andrew's newest friend, Miles, who was just a couple weeks old.
On Thursday we packed up the family (minus Tucker who was at Doggy Spring Break at Hip Hounds) and went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Smith at the lake. The weather was gorgeous and we had a great time. While there, we stopped by to visit Doug and Cynthia.
We ended the night at a small Italian restaurant in Burnet where Andrew literally stuffed himself with spaghetti, ravioli, and all kinds of other goodies. It was a fun getaway for all of us!
Overall, this Spring Break was wonderful and makes me so excited for the summer and all the fun that we'll have with Andrew. He's at such a fun age, and keeps us on our toes! I ended up having to tape a used giftcard over the TV power button because Andrew kept turning it on and off so many times that we were worried he would hurt the TV! He is into everything - the dog bowls, the pantry, our bedroom. Anywhere he can crawl, he wants to explore! He learned a new trick this week - he likes to eat Cheerios off the table or his tray without using his hands - I think he has been watching Tucker eat a little too much! He popped another tooth this week also - the top tooth left of the front two. He also felt grass for the first time this week (he's not a fan). He is, however, a big fan of being outside and he loved the beautiful weather this week!
