Four Months

Andrew is four months old! I know I have said it every month, but it is hard to believe he has been with us this long! The past month has been wonderful, but busy (as evidenced by my lack of blogging). I started back to school in mid-August, and while things are going well, I feel busy! I keep wondering to myself what I was so stressed about before Andrew. Looking back, it seems I had all the time in the world! Everything takes a little longer with a baby. But Jonathan, Andrew, and I have been so blessed - Grandma Karen has come to stay with us and take care of Andrew while I am at school.

Andrew seems to have blossomed with new skills lately (partially because I am writing this post at almost 4 1/2 months!). He holds his head up really well, and can sit, lightly supported by someone or something. His favorite thing to do is stand with help. Whenever we try to set him down, he straightens out his legs to stand! He is still rolling belly to back, and we think that back to belly is not far off. When he is laying on his back, he curls up his legs and turns over on his side. He is grabbing things very well now - he loves to hold onto things and put them in his mouth, even if his aim isn't always perfect. His favorite thing to put in his mouth is his thumb, especially the left one (we think he's going to be a lefty like his dad and grandpa). He has also discovered his feet - he loves to grab them and use them to kick things. He is at such a fun age! He is social and loves to smile. He has also discovered his volume control - when he is really excited he lets out these loud, high-pitched squeals! He is still a little guy though - at his 4 month appointment he weighed 12 pounds 10 ounces, which is the 15th percentile, and he was 24 1/2 inches long, which is the 30th percentile. Overall, this is a great age and I know it is going to get even more fun in the coming months. There is a lot going on in Andrew's little world, and hopefully one day I will have time to blog about it all - ha ha! For now, here are some pictures of the little cutie in his 4 month outfit!

Halfway through the photoshoot, he decided he wanted to eat his little doggy friend that he poses with...

And finally, some other cute ones...
